Shania Twain's Grey Cup Halftime Show Was The Most Canadian Thing Ever

Shania Twain's Grey Cup Halftime Show Was The Most Canadian Thing Ever

That's exactly what happened during a snowy 105th Grey Cup on Sunday and it won't just be remembered for the weather because the game was a classic as well.

The TD Palace in Ottawa offered up a Grey Cup halftime show that pulled out more than a few Canadian tropes to appeal to the hometown fans.

Officials had a hard time keeping the lines on the field visible, which had to be cleared by a snowplow at halftime. "I Feel Like a Woman!"

Yes, there's a new song in the middle, but any loss of momentum is suddenly reversed by those opening chords of "Man!" Toronto's Ricky Ray threw the football 100 yards for a successful catch by teammate and game MVP DeVier Posey and set a Grey Cup record.

These extremely Canadian 13 minutes may not fully translate to all Americans, but I would honestly love to enjoy this performance every single February. Released in September, it's her first full-length album in 15 years, and fifth of her career.

The TSN turning point came in the fourth quarter with Calgary in the red zone and looking like they were about the take a two-score lead.
