Mauricio Pochettino: "I have a weakness for Zinedine Zidane"

Mauricio Pochettino:

Zinedine Zidane does not believe Real Madrid should have sold Gareth Bale during the close season despite the Wales forward's ongoing injury problems. Their attacking partnership of Angel and Molina has proven to be effective for them this season, and they could cause some difficulties for the makeshift Madrid defence, especially 18-year-old Achraf Hakimi - who is filling in at right back. "Zidane has the difficult task of trying to make happy hundreds of millions of supporters who are spread across the world and know that our team is in the best hands possible", he concludes.

Kiko Casilla will start in goal for Real Madrid at Getafe as Keylor Navas is rested to recover from a knock in time for the Champions League clash at home to Tottenham on Tuesday.

Zinedine Zidane put his Real Madrid players through their paces on Friday as the La Liga champions trained on the eve of this weekend's trip to Getafe. "I hope that tomorrow we can see that response and that connection that he has with Cristiano Ronaldo", the Real Madrid boss said.

"He's the first person that is bothered about this situation".

"He's getting better every day". A Catalan and Barcelona leaning newspaper, Mundo Deportivo instead decide to stir the pot and go with a headline saying 'Zidane, goodbye to Real in 2018?'.

3 - Zidane is the third Madrid coach to reach consecutive European Cup/Champions League finals, the first since Luis Carniglia in 1959. "That's what happened. Two separate injuries", he added.

"He wanted to try and test his injury and something went".

Carvajal, meanwhile, is certainly going to miss both games after having been diagnosed with a viral pericardium infection. I'm neither a doctor nor a physiotherapist.

"I'm confident in the people that work here for me". He is feeling good, relaxed and he trusts in those who are in charge of his recovery.

As the newspaper will have known would happen, their claims have already been picked up in France... so it could become a 'thing' in the rumour mill.

"We want him at 100 percent - it could be a week still, or two, but his health is the most important".
