Dwayne Wade coming to LA makes sense for everyone — Lakers Rumors

Dwyane Wade, the 2006 NBA Finals MVP, has agreed to sign a one-year veteran minimum contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, per reports.

This April 8, 2017 photo shows Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade (3) watches game action from the bench during the second half of an NBA basketball game against the Brooklyn Nets in New York. With Wade in the mix, Los Angeles can deal Jordan Clarkson without taking a talent hit; opening cap space for James and his superstar buddies.

The Heat would be able to offer around $US4.2 million - though there's still a question regarding Wade's relationship with team president Pat Riley - while the Spurs can offer the 35-year-old approximately $US3.3 million.

On top of that, Butler said the front office's decision to punish him and Wade for speaking their minds affected how they could lead moving forward. "We wish him well, and we're happy he's in a good place and will find a situation that's best for him". Heat president Pat Riley understands what Wade means to the region and the team.

We may not know the role Cleveland has planned exactly yet for Wade, but what we do know is that the role is clearly defined enough for him to reportedly accept a deal with the team over the Warriors.

Oklahoma City, which just acquired Wade's friend Carmelo Anthony in a trade, could also have interest, sources told Wojnarowski.

Wade joins a roster that, in addition to LeBron, includes Kevin Love, Isaiah Thomas, J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, Tristan Thompson and, perhaps most intriguingly, Derrick Rose.

LeBron James will be blowing up his phone until he makes a decision.

But Wade hasn't ruled out the idea of a future return to the Heat. "It's just more pieces to the puzzle". Even before last season ended, there was talks of Wade heading to Cleveland in some form or fashion at some point to rejoin James.
