Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Gets Official

In a brand new leak, today courtesy Chinese microblogging site Weibo we have our first glimpse of the retail box package. The Mi Mix 2 is a mobile with 'custom rounded corners'.

The device will go on pre-orders from September 15, and will start shipping from September 30. Therefore, as said earlier, speculations have arrived in the rumor mill that the Chinese firm may debut the Mi Note 3 alongside the Mi MIX 2. This is one of the highlights of the Mi Note 3. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. Xiaomi has also introduced a special edition device with ceramic body priced at 4699 yuan which roughly comes to Rs 46,000).

A leak of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 appeared online and it listed some awesome specs. There is a 16 MP shooter at the front that is equipped with Beautify, an AI software that automatically adjusts the beauty level for great selfies. However, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is also designed by French designer Philippe Starck who designed its predecessor, the Mi MIX. It packs 3,400mAh battery with support to Quick Charge 3.0. While the Mi MIX also did not become Xiaomi's hottest seller, it did generate enough attention and sales for Xiaomi to consider a second generation of the device.

This gives the phone's Full HD display a 18:9 aspect ratio, which just about mirrors that of the LG G6. The design has been the forte of the Mi Mix and the Mix 2 is no different.

The dual camera is the star of the show here. The primary camera has 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, dual LED flash, 4-axis OIS stabilization, 4K video recording capability and secondary 12MP camera has f/2.6 aperture. The AMOLED panel has been manufactured by Samsung with the resolution of 2960×1440 pixels. The other phone which Xiaomi launches could be Xiaomi Mi Note 3 as the words appear in the teaser. The Mi Note lineup by Xiaomi used to be of flagship standard. The 128GB storage variant is priced at RMB 3,599 (approximately Rs 35,300), while the top-end 256GB variant is priced at RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 39,300).

Well, this is a joyful news for the Indian fans.
