Danny Rose sorry for causing offence after Spurs comments in newspaper interview

Dave Kidd, who interviewed Rose for The Sun, and has a long term relationship with the Spurs left back writes that "got a hero's welcome from a mutinous Tottenham dressing room".

GARETH BALE: Jose Mourinho has said Manchester United will pursue the Real Madrid forward - if he is not involved in Tuesday night's Super Cup.

Having been at the club since 2007, Rose is Spurs' longest-standing player and is seeking a club that will challenge for trophies.

They have held talks with the French midfielder, who failed to adapt to his first season at the Lane, and are keen to take him on loan. "Nothing has changed on my perception of him", Pochettino told a press conference on Friday. The Birmingham City manager also understands why Mauricio Pochettino's men are struggling to bring in fresh faces, with potential targets presumably reluctant to sit on the substitutes' bench in north London. And just because Tottenham has had a bid accepted by Madrid doesn't mean he has to negotiate with the club. "It's an opportunity for me to get some games, do well and see what happens".

Given how well we played last season without him, I wouldn't be overly worried if Walker hadn't already left.

Tottenham finished second in last season's Premier League, but are yet to make a signing in the transfer window.

Okay, so Danny Rose has been taped up and quite blatantly by his own agent.

Despite his concerns over Spurs moving forward, the full-back has been silly to express his views in such an incredibly open way. He knows he doesn't pay his top players anything like the amounts they can earn elsewhere. No one forces him to sign a contract. "He's a player of Real Madrid, he's important for us and he's one of the best players in the world". Perez does not need to sell anyone in order to buy another superstar.

The Tottenham defender has said he wants to retire up north. It's still four [years left].

Danny Rose wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur as they will not meet his wage demands.

Anyone who thinks this is primarily for money, that is not the case.

"As with everyone else in my team, in my opinion, I am worth more than I am getting", Rose said. "Now we move on", he said. "We're so focused on preparing for the game on Sunday. I'm not going to be stupid enough not to try and get the most out of it - medals, trophies and salary".
